{First Birthday!!}

My baby boy turned one on July 14.  Seriously...where does the time go?  We had family over for dinner and cake the Sunday after and we had so much fun celebrating sweet Coop!!

Opening presents is so much fun!!

I've decided I want to be a party planner/caterer.

Not really, but I loved having a reason to make cute food!!

Let's just say he was not excited to wear his party hat!

Mike had to help him get into the cake and make a mess!

Cooper loves to play with kids. I love this picture because

it looks like they're in deep conversation discussing what to play.

Here are a few fun facts about Coop at one year:

:: Walking is now his primary mode of transportation.

:: He slowed down quite a bit in the weight department,

weighing just under 21 pounds.

:: He is just barely getting his first tooth.

:: He still nurses a few times a day...

thank goodness for those late teeth!

:: He loves random household objects and carries them around:

cell phone (In fact, he just called 911! My phone was even locked!),

kitchen tongs, hair straightener, mini broom and dustpan.

:: Gets a small rash when he eats dairy.

:: He is a very content baby and, usually, very patient. 

:: LOVES when daddy comes home... they just play and play!

:: Has a binky and blankie that he loves to sleep with.

:: Can point to his head, eyes, ears, mouth, teeth, and nose.

:: Loves to read stories and gets them out all by himself.

(Pat the Bunny is his favorite. He loves to smell the flowers

 and then tries to smell all the other pages.)

:: When I get him out of his crib, he points to the tractors and says, "Ehh?!"

Which if you didn't know, means he wants one.

Hmm...wonder who he gets that from!

:: He' starting to understand what we're saying... how nice!

:: He is into everything and loves to explore...

What a fun year it has been!!

We sure love Cooper and are so excited to see what the next year brings!
