{Happy Birthday Mike!}
We started the month of July with Mike's Birthday! We were hoping he would have a birthday buddy (Cooper), but it didn't quite work out!
Typical.
Mike's mom would always make him this 'special' cheesecake that he absolutely loves. When I asked Mike's sisters for the recipe, they said there wasn't one! They told me the ingredients and about how much of everything to put in. Each year I tweak it a bit to see if I can get it down.
I think this year has been the best yet. Although I don't think Mike will ever think it's as good as his mom's...which is just fine! :)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
{Baby on the Way!}
Since we didn't have the baby on Mike's b-day, we thought maybe my mom would have a birthday buddy since her birthday was Cooper's due date-07/08/09. Once again, it didn't work out. We finally decided that Cooper wanted his own birthday.
7 lbs. 5 oz., 21 inches long
First Family Picture
I knew right away that Cooper (baby boy at that time) was going to be a sweetheart! He was quite alert for a newborn. I loved watching him when he was all swaddled up. His head would stay perfectly still and he would move his eyes from side to side.
Bath time!
Heading home from the hospital. He looked so tiny in his big car seat.
And all the clothes I brought for him were way too big!
Grandma Susie and Grandpa Ken came to visit
their 25th grandbaby!Hanging out with Coop- so much fun!
Cooper had his first doctor's appointment when he was three days old. He weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. at the time. At his two week appointment he weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. The nurse put him on the scale and picked him up again and said that couldn't be right. Of course it was- he gained 24 oz. in 11 days! The doctor said by two weeks they would like the baby to be back to his birth weight and Cooper was well past his. Way to go Cooper...we love chunky babies!
Brand new family of three!

Cooper had his first photo shoot when he was 13 days old. The photographer did such a wonderful job. I think these pictures are priceless! Here are just a few of them...okay, more than a few!
